In the article “Ethical Issues of Cloning” by Rita Putatunda explains about the problems of cloning. Copying the genes and making new reproductions of the human is equivalent to “playing God”. The successful cloning of Dolly (Sheep) in 1997 brings many tension upon society and furthers the possibility of human cloning. However, there is a high failure rate of cloning and it may alter the genes of the cloned animal/human. Putatunda questions that the cloning outcome might act as a unique individual or have to live like a genetic prisoner.…

They believe that cloning would separate the clone from everyone else making them feel unworthy or left out. For others such as, Karen Weintraub a scientific journalist, she believes that is “--silly and sad for people to spend thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars thinking they will get back a beloved pet through cloning.” Weintraub believes that death is a part of life and scientists should not try and avoid it. “Death is a terrible part of life, but cloning won’t allow us to avoid it.…

Anyone who has seen any of the Jurassic Park movies, knows that cloning something that has been extinct is just a bad idea. Cloning animals will cause a disbalance in nature and in the animal kingdom. Imagine if every month we had to look for a new source of food because the new invasive clone species consumers all the surrounding resources, leaving little left for the remaining surviving species including humans. Cloning is one giant experiment that will cost the united states funds it does not have, and like many experiments it will take hundreds of mistakes to get one success. These mistakes will be tested on the animals causing them pain and suffering, and even if scientists do make a fully formed clone, we have no idea if the clone’s brain is fully developed.…

Cloning is a sin in front of god because in the bible it says “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them “Genesis 1:27. God created people in his own image, and for babies to be created in mother’s womb, in the natural way not in a test tube. Anyone who follows God and believes in the bible should not say cloning is right especially just for organ donation, because nobody should take away the life of another person because only God can take away lives. Men did not create our life but God did so a man should not have any right to take anybody’s life because only the creator can take what he gave ys therefore killing clones for donation purpose is murdering and it should be a crime. If people keep on cloning to save their loved ones or in the memory of them, then the generation is not going anywhere because we are going to keep on cloning the people that were here.…
