The controversy around human cloning has received a lot of news coverage. There is reproductive cloning, theraputic cloning, ect. There are many types of cloning but it is not worth funding for. Reproductive and theraputic cloning are trying to get funded by the taxpayer’s money for the people to be able to clone ourselves or other things such as pets. Any type of cloning should not be funded at all because of such disadvantages as people trying to abuse cloning technology, health risks from mutation of genes and also it is like if people are trying to play a god’s role by making another human or pets. An abnormal baby would be a nightmare if something went wrong cloning. There are many abnormal babies that had happened before to animals such as cows. Abnormal normal babies don’t only happen before birth but after as well like i said before with the cow. The cow was born and weeks after it had died because of the mutations of genes. Cloning should not be funded. Cloning won’t even for sure going to have a successful clone. Scientists have been playing the role of god. Scientists are trying to create human beings. Although people may like the idea of cloning, there are a lot buddhists and religious people out there that don’t agree with the idea. Most religious people have sayings that relate to the topic of cloning. The sayings state things such as stuff like there should only be one god and no more than that. Scientists playing a god’s role is something not everyone agrees on, especially the buddhists. This is another reason why cloning should not be funded.
