Clinton has been an advocate for gun control for a long period of time already. She has pushed for a ban on assault weapons, implementing stricter background checks, and preventing loopholes that will allow weapons to be sold or exchanged at gun shows and over the internet. Her opponent, Trump, is advocating for the preservation of the second amendments; in fact, he hopes to institute a national right to bear arms. Trump actively supports the National Rifle Association and second amendment activists by promising not to implement a ban on assault weapons if he won the election.
