Clinton Grilled On Benghazi Security Summary

Summary: The article “Clinton Grilled on Benghazi Security, Emails” by Carrie Dann, found on NBC News, summarizes one of Hillary Clinton’s most recent hearings. The hearing is involving the Benghazi attacks in 2012, and the relationship between Clinton and one of her friends. Sidney Blumenthal. The Benghazi attacks were a series of attacks on an American diplomatic building situated in Benghazi, Libya during which the United States ambassador was killed, along with two CIA agents. When the building was attacked, officials of the State Department did not respond and Clinton took the blame for not sending back-ups that day. When asked questions about what part she played concerning the security issues while the situation in Benghazi worsened, …show more content…
The manner that Clinton answers these questions will more than likely show whether or not Clinton will continue in the campaign, or whether she will be shunned for her past actions and will more than likely lose the campaign. One of the more possible outcomes is that public dissatisfaction with Clinton will grow, as people who were borderline between liking or disliking Clinton will now feel like she is not responsible enough for presidency. This issue has certainly proved that Clinton did not do a relatively good job even as Secretary of State and maybe she is not exactly the best-equipped to be the next president, with far more responsibility and far more importance to the decisions she makes.
Questions:
Do you believe that Hillary Clinton is not to blame for the lack of response to the Benghazi attacks?
How significantly do you think this hearing will impact the way most people feel about Clinton?
Can Clinton be depended on to take more responsibility as a president and run the country efficiently and

The events that occurred during the 9/11 twin tower attacks did not only affect the people who were directly affected by the attack (friends or family of victims or the victims themselves) but it also affected the entire world in breathtaking fashion. This article talks about the negative consequences that America suffered because of this terrible attack. The stance of the author, Heather Mallick is that most of these consequences could have been avoided if the west was capable of responding to the attack in a way that didn't cause more chaos following the twin tower attack. But that's exactly what America did, in the article it says that the way America responded was by "Invading Afghanistan and Iraq on credit, attempting to demonize Muslims…

Clinton's presidency was a seemingly long hard road. During his second term as President, He was impeached due to charges of lying under oath to a grand jury and obstruction of justice. However, the real underlying reason for the impeachment was Clinton’s denial of the Lewinsky Affair. The public opinion of the Lewinsky Affair allowed the Republican party to create a political strategy to use against Clinton. “Contending that Clinton had committed perjury, Republican leaders made the affair the centerpiece of their quest to defeat Democrats in the 1998 congressional elections” (Jansson, 2012,p.398).…

On August 17, 1998 President Bill Clinton delivered a speech to the American public addressing an inappropriate relationship with a former White House Intern, Monica Lewinsky. In comparison to Robert M. Eisingers “The Political Non-Apology” Clinton 's public apology has some of the characteristics of a full apology but, is predominantly a non-apology. At some points he attempts to apologize, but his choice of words diminish the effectiveness of his apology and his form of non-apologizing is used to his advantage. Clinton appears to meet some of the criteria of a full apology;…
