Over the past semester I have learned a great deal from the clinical experiences I have encountered at East Pavilion and on the Sentara Norfolk General Rehabilitation floor. Through these humbling experiences, I have gained a new appreciation for the ability to perform simple day to day tasks such as bathing, dressing, and even walking on my own. These tasks I often take for granted and forget that what I consider a simple task may be a difficult or painful chore for others. As I reflect on my experiences, I have identified some similarities and differences in the experiences at both facilities.
