Clinical Psychology is a branch of Psychology in which the psychologist is concerned with the assessment and the treatment of mental illnesses and disabilities.
Clinical Psychology, an exciting career for people who are looking for a challenging field, integrates the science of psychology with treatment of complex human problems. The reason I am writing this paper is because I want to be a psychologist and like working to solve problems with the mind. I already tend to be very good at analyzing particular situations. I also like excitement and challenges. All of this leads me to believe that this is a near perfect career for me.

How much overtime could be involved? The normal beginning hours in clinical psychology are from nine in the morning to five in the afternoon, Monday to Friday. Sometimes I would possibly need to work an evening or weekend shift, and I could be part of an emergency out-of-hours system. Part-time work and job sharing have are often available. Therefore, the hours are easy and aren’t very overbearing.
What is the salary range for this line of work? The nationwide average salary for clinical psychologists is seventy three thousand dollars annually, but those working at Self-Employed can pull down an average two hundred and forty seven thousand dollars. The starting salary would be sixty nine thousand, two hundred and sixty nine dollars annually. My salary would go up with the amount of learning I have, the skills I possess, and the amount of years I have been a clinical psychologist. All together, the salary is very good.
I must also be licensed as a clinical psychologist. In Texas, full licensure requires a series of examinations, doctoral education, and a period of supervised professional practice.
