The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) as the newest and the most innovative role in nursing, was created in collaboration with multiple nursing leaders and heads of medical organizations, to answer the growing need of the population. CNL is a master-prepared generalist with a considerable evidence-based knowledge, leadership skills, and outcome focus on “quality, safety, and effective point of care delivery” (Harris, Roussel, & Thomas, 2014, p. 67).
