Clinical Depression Research Paper

In conclusion, Clinical Depression is one of the most common major depressive disorder within the United States. Clinical Depression clients are typically reported as being sad, depression, or even suicidal. Many clients who experience Clinical Depression do not seek help because they believe getting help is a sign of weakness. However, if a client recognizes that they need help then the process will go a lot smoother. The first step in treatment is realizing and admitting that you have a problem and that you need help to overcome this disorder. On the other hand, I agree with the article that the proper medication will help reverse depression. It is best that the clients call their doctor as soon so that the counselor can prescribe others anti-depression. I also agree with the article that women's are reported to have a higher chance of depression than Men's do in every age group. The reason women are reported to have a higher presentence than men's is because women's keep everything in their minds like stress while men's typically do not worry about too many stressful things or stressful life events like women's do. Furthermore, the article was very helpful with me gaining more insight about Clinical Depression, but as a future counselor, I wish the article went into more details about the different type of treatments that a counselor should conduct before diagnosing the client as having Clinical Depression. I also wish the article went into more detail about the signs or noticing if a client or a person is suffering from Clinical Depression. Other than that, the article called "Clinical Depression" from the American Counseling Association Publication was a very knowledgeable article and now I personally can take what I learned from this article and apply it to my career path to become a license Clinical Mental Health
