Clinical Decision Making

I think that there are many factor that influence my clinical decisions. One of the important factors for me is getting prepare through higher education. Nursing is a profession where we always have to keep current in order to become competent with new practices based in new research.
Research is an important discipline that help nurses provide the best possible care and appropriate treatment to patients. As a future nurse, I know I’m going to be involve in a lot of situations that will need effective and correct decisions. As a result, it is important to take into consideration evidence bases practice based in new and proven research. There are a lot of components that can influence clinical outcomes, experience is one of those components that take an important part in the care of a patient. Clinical experience is the accumulated clinical skills throughout a good amount of time. The longer time we are exposed to different clinical situation where we have to use our critical thinking, concrete thinking and the correct judgment the better we are going to be able to solve clinical situation with the best outcomes for the patient. As a nursing student, I think I don’t have enough clinical experience to solve critical situation but I do have the support of research evidence that can help me to solve situations that I can encounter in the health care
