I do believe that earning my BSN has already opened my mind integrating quality improvement into my clinical practice. Earning my ADN allowed me to gain the clinical competencies of nursing. However, the coursework of my BSN courses have allowed me to critically think, gain leadership and management competencies needed to improve patient outcomes. These competencies emphasis on patient-centered care, evidence based practice, safety, collaboration and system-thinking that make you well rounded to grasp the dynamics of quality improvement processes. “All health professionals should be educated to deliver patient-centered care as members of an interdisciplinary team, emphasizing evidence-based practice, quality improvement approaches, and informatics”
