To summarize my explanations on why I chose this career are primarily rationalized by the idea of myself empowering one individual, relationship, or family at a time. Rather than myself empowering on a grand scale of people; since I do love to help children specifically. Furthermore, besides just feeling productive, there's also a reason behind enjoying a challenge. I would enjoy learning about the obscure aspects of intellectual behavior, habit change, communication intricacies, and social/emotional development that young adolescents tend to experience. Not to mention but also seeing the countless ways that each child's body, mind, antiquity, emotions, and the web of relations and roles are unique.
Though, with that being said, there are also certain expectations/requirements acquired in order to be “successful” in this career choice. In general, in terms of the advantages, it consists of a growing demand in the field, treating and helping children, and diverse opportunities in different work settings — such as hospitals, private practice, schools, community centers, etc. While on the other hand, some disadvantages to these types of situations include; irregular or long hours of work, emotional exhaustion, and frustration among family factors (e.g., cases of abuse or neglect). However, even with those cons being highlighted, I would still manage to do my absolute best with or without
