Climateal Change (NIPCC) And The Intergovernmental Panel On Climate Change

Climate change: the scientific debate that has swept the world from coast to coast, is beginning to become the center of attention amongst a diverse group of people. While some consider humans to be the catalyst of climate change, others debate that the subject is caused by nature itself. Going further into detail, two organizations, the Nongovernmental International Panel on Climate Change (NIPCC) and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) have had altercations in the midst of this scientific phenomenon. Scholars who consider humans to be the fundamental stimulant towards climate change are those associated with the IPCC. Furthermore, those who believe that human effect is miniscule and warming comes with benefits as well as

In several respects, global climate change (GCC) represents new conditions. It is not just extreme events and changing rainfall patterns that have started to affect individuals in various parts of the world. There are also discussions in the political community regarding activities of mitigation and adaptation because of climate change. Decisions by others predict effects (by politicians regarding road toll systems, extra taxes on fossil fuel, etc.) even for those who are not personally concerned.…

(7)This statement is stated to tell readers to make a change and help the climate. Evidence to support humans are the cause of climate change and to prove it is real, the authors’ include the US National Academy of Sciences report, “Carbon dioxide emitted from the burning of fossil fuel is presented the largest single climate forcing agent, accounting for more than half the total positive forcing since 1750”(7-8). Clearing the truth and consensus between politicians and scientists, makes the argument stronger since more people will be capable to understand climate change because the confusion is gone and humans can take action to improve…

At that point scientists defined this heating of gases in the atmosphere, as global warming (Action verbs). Along with humans, “volcanic eruptions, fluctuations in ocean currents”, and other natural disasters, produce destructive emissions that are released into the atmosphere (Gail, 2015). Many scientists believe that if humans continue to carelessly use fossil fuels, “weather patterns could change, causing flooding, drought, and an increase in damaging storms” (Should the U.S., 2012). Others however, believe that mother nature is in fact to blame for the global climate change. Whether it is derived naturally or a man-made problem, if not stopped, climate change will drastically alter the world for the…

Imagine a barren wasteland, incapable of supporting the growth of any form of life and overpopulated with more people than it could sustain: this is the future of the earth. But, this is not just another scene from a sci-fi film of a population that has expedited their vital resources, but the reality for the “over 7 billion people” who populate the home we call earth (Hardaway 4). A considerable amount of blame is placed on global warming which is an “increase in the temperature of the lower atmosphere“; however, global warming has not garnered enough acceptance from some political officials and skeptics due to the term’s ambiguity (“global warming”). Global warming is often confused with climate change and although these terms sound alike…

Whilst other scientists argue that climate models are unreliable, they have been useful to give a fairly accurate representation on what climate change is doing to the earth. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) tested detailed models against the observed trends of world temperatures. The results showed that the only way to explain increases in air temps, ocean temps, declining snow and ice cover were the models with human caused changes as the models without human input were much lower than observed climate records (Cunningham and Cunningham, 2015). If people continue to ignore the climate change and ignore that global warming exists it will have severe consequences. Climate change will cost more than prevention and according to Sir Nicholas Stern, a former chief economist of the world bank, the damage of climate change could cost 20% of the annual global economy if no action is taken soon the prevent the serious threat up (Cunningham and Cunningham,…

My whole life I learned that change in the climate is due to human waste. But looking at it from scientific point of view the severity of global warming is not mainly due to the cause of greenhouse gas. More than one factor contribute to the cause.…

In order to appeal to the public, journalists tend to favor coverage of human-interest stories and exaggerate consequences for emotional appeal. While it is true that the media has reported inaccurate predictions concerning climate change, that does not mean that future consequences should be dismissed. Given the factors that go into predicting the future of climate change, it is no surprise that the UN Commission’s current forecasts are different from its predictions ten years ago. Influences such as how much the levels of greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere increase, how the climate reacts to these levels, and natural impacts of the climate are essentially difficult for scientists to predict. While the natural changes do occur to the environment, humans play a role in changes, too.…

This meeting was occupied by 400 expert scientists, joined by representatives not only of governments but of every variety of non-governmental interest. The conclusion of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change started with “acknowledging many uncertainties, the experts found, first, that the world was certainly getting warmer. And second, that the warming was probably not entirely natural.” “The balance of evidence suggests that there is a discernible human influence on global climate.”…
