There are many concerns about the changes in the overall climate of the earth. One of these dangerous climate problems is referred to as global warming. Global warming refers to the recent and ongoing rise in global average temperature near Earth 's surface. However, global warming itself represents only one aspect of climate change. Some people think that these changes are a result of natural events; others think it is human activity and some think it is a combination of both. In this paper we will discuss what is climate change, the human contributions, natural causes, consequences and what can be done regarding global warming. Global warming is a big issue nowadays but before we start going into the causes of climate change we first need to know what it is. Climate change is a change in the state of the climate that can be identified by changes in the mean and/or the variability of its properties and that persists for an extended period, typically decades or longer. Climate change may be due to natural internal processes or external forcing, or to persistent anthropogenic changes in the composition of the atmosphere or in land use according to IPCC. Earth’s climate is changing and according to the EPA the global average temperature increased by more than 1.3 degrees Fahrenheit over the last century and the average Artic temperature also rose by twice as much.
