The increase of greenhouse gass emission and other factors has caused the earth to retain more energy and thus grow warmer. This change in climate is affecting the habitats of many different species who are forced to adapt or migrate to another suitable location to live. This disrupts the food chains thus affecting the ecosystem which is fundamental to life on earth. Some effects that climate change has on life on earth are that it disrupts the food chain. A good example of this are polar bears being negatively affected not only by losing their primary habitat but also having their food chain disrupted. The main cause of Climate Change is greenhouse gass emission, specifically co2 emission. To stop climate change, co2 levels around the world have to be significantly reduced. There are certain ways to reduce co2 around the world with the most obvious ones being to use renewable energy as opposed to fossil fuels, to reduce the use of cars as they release a lot of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and to plant more trees as they can store a lot of carbon dioxide and also provide oxygen to the environment . If these measures are taken then the impact of Climate Change on nutritional resources (food crops lacking key nutrients) and medicinal sources (arctic flora at risk) as mentioned in Part 2 would heavily reduce. Some countries have already started campaigns to reduce co2 emissions, these countries include China, Indonesia and Denmark. Even though China is one of the biggest producers of Co2 around the world it also has taken massive steps to reduce co2 emissions. By 2014 China was the biggest investor of renewable energy in the world, investing nearly 83 billion dollars as seen in Figure 3. Indonesia is aiming towards the restoration of ecosystems and to setup social forests on 12.7 million hectares of land. In Copenhagen, Denmark half of the population already uses bicycles as opposed to cars in order to reduce carbon emission. The city now has more than 320 km of bike lanes and hopes to setup a superhighway for bikes that will connect to surrounding
