Clifford Ethelbert Wheaton Clifford Ethelbert Wheaton is an English born AIF serviceman. He was born in Chard, Somerset Uk in 1892 and moved to Australia in 1912, aged 20. After staying in Sydney for a short period of time, he moved out to Black Mountain as his Uncle Arthur Wheaton had done before him. He held many jobs before the war, mainly as a butcher. He was short standing only 5 feet 6 inches tall and he weighed 10 stone 13lbs (69kg), a chest measurement of 38 inches, with hazel-brown eyes, fair hair and a “ruddy” complexion.
