Cliff Olson was born in Riverside, California, on July 8, 1967. The first memory that he ever had was when he was little and he was playing catch with his friend Chriss in his backyard. He threw the ball and Chriss missed it and the ball went through the back window of the house. He loved playing baseball with all of his buddies in the park. Cliff loved his mother's dad, grandpa Joe. He called him Daddie Joe because Cliff knew he loved him unconditionally. Cliff’s dad didn’t really treat him very well. He was scared of his real dad because he would beat him. Cliffs mom later divorced his real dad. More than once when Cliff's dad Clifford became really mad and started beating him, and his Daddie Joe took Cliff and took care of him until Clifford calmed down. Cliff was the most scared of his dad, before his parents got a divorce. Clifford physically abused Cliff a lot. Cliff has never had that good of relationship with father of his parents ever. When he turned 18 he didn’t want to go to college and was tired of school. He wasn't a Christian yet and that was the only thing that he thought he could do with his life at that point. He served in West Germany, during the cold war, when Russia was still called the Soviet Union. When Cliff tested into the military his test scores were really high, and hey said that he could choose basicly anything job he wanted within military. Cliff chose to be a tanker. He served in active duty for two years, and worked himself all the way to private. He didn’t really become that attached with anyone. Cliff loved traveling in the army. His mom and stepdad met up with him in Europe and saw tons of places with him. The worst part about being in the military, he said, that if it came to the point it, was a job that you might have to kill people.
