“It’s over! It’s over! Cleveland is a city of Champions once again! The Cleveland Cavaliers are NBA champions! Cleveland’s long sports nightmare has ended; the drought is over! 52 years and time to celebrate a title!” Those were the words of ESPN broadcaster Jeff Van Gundy as the final buzzer sounded in Oracle Arena in Oakland, CA. The Cavaliers had just won the NBA finals and were bringing home a pro sports team championship to the city of Cleveland for the first time in 52 years. The city’s long suffering that had been endured for more than half a century was over.
