Cleveland Amory: My Hero

My hero is Cleveland Amory, an animal rights activist who did many amazing things for animals in his lifetime. Cleveland Amory began as a board of directors member for the Humane Society of the United States and soon became the president of the New England Anti-Vivisection Society. From there he founded the Fund for Animals which allowed him to open the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch. Towards the end of his life, Amory bought a boat to protect whales from whalers.

I am an animal advocate and I look up to many animal rights activists for the wonderful work they do to better the world. Cleveland Amory is one of my heroes because he did so much good in his lifetime that has continued on even after his death. Amory was a great man who wanted
