Belief system was broken down into different categories and consisted of gods that ruled over each of the classes. This form of worship is much like the modern day college schedule. For example, most students going through college working for the professors that they attend courses with. From what I have gathered from the research that I have done the Egyptian people worship place their gods in high standing positions. This being said their form of worship tends to follow a lineage-based system where the power is passed down from generation to generation. “Due to their beliefs, the Pharaoh held an immense amount of power. In addition, the priests in Ancient Egypt were also very powerful.
When things were going well, the people believed the priest and pharaoh were doing their jobs well.” This being said all of the responsibility of the empire fell on top of the shoulders of the Pharos. In addition to this, it was a struggle especially for Cleopatra due to her being a woman. In Crawford's passage, Who was Cleopatra?, she tells of Cleopatra and how she became the ruler of Egypt at the time. The entire passage doesn't stay on topic of the claim though, throughout the whole passage she tells different things about Cleopatra, but its not all about how she was a strong leader who could match other leaders' skills and abilities during that time. Crawford hardly stays on the same topic about Cleopatra at all in the passage. She jumps from telling about one thing about her to telling something completely different. For example, in paragraph 2, she tells of how Cleopatra sneaks into the palace to take the throne from Caesar.…

Cleopatra VII Philopator (Greek: Κλεοπάτρα Φιλοπάτωρ; 69[1] – August 12, 30 BC[2]), known to history simply as Cleopatra, was the last active pharaoh of Ptolemaic Egypt, shortly survived as pharaoh by her son Caesarion. After her reign, Egypt became a province of the then-recently established Roman Empire. Cleopatra was a member of the Ptolemaic dynasty, a family of Macedonian Greek[3] origin that ruled Egypt after Alexander the Great's death during the Hellenistic period. The Ptolemies, throughout their dynasty, spoke Greek[4] and refused to speak Egyptian, which is the reason that Greek as well as Egyptian languages were used on official court documents such as the Rosetta Stone.[5] By contrast, Cleopatra did learn to speak Egyptian[6] and…

I thought it was refreshing to get a male perspective on feminists stereotypes and found it interesting how you disagreed with Cleopatra’s stereotype. I had never heard about the “femme fatale” stereotype but as I read the book I was persuaded to see that she could fit that stereotype. However, it was not until I read your post that I could see that she did not exactly fit that stereotype. I really liked how you argued that she Cleopatra was not a “femme fatale” but, perhaps, ahead of her time. I also agree with you when you say your perspective on the “bimbo” stereotype was changed.…

Another stance often taken on this issue is that Cleopatra was plain in appearance until she opened her mouth and exhibited her charm, wit, and vast knowledge across many topics. Under this viewpoint, Cleopatra’s beauty did not lead to her success, but rather she achieved it through other means. A primary source, Plutarch, describes when Cleopatra first met Mark Antony. On her journey she took money, gifts, other objects of great wealth, as well as her most valuable trait: her charm. Plutarch states that her beauty was not so remarkable or outstanding, but rather her presence and state of being was attractive and irresistible.…
