After completing my undergraduate degree in chemistry with a 2nd class upper honors (graduating top 5% of my class), I found myself trying to ply through the lamentable state of the labor market of my country. With an increasing youth unemployment rate of 24% (10.644 million persons) and prevalently high rate of inequality in the labor market, my need to get an already existing job was quickly converted to a challenge to create a job, I therefore made a calculated decision to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams, this resulted in co-founding two start-ups (Equivita resources ER Ltd and Green Earth Farms Ltd) with friends from college with whom I shared similar , with the aim of breaking into the underserved sectors of the economy and creating opportunities for under/unemployed. From my findings, the program will provide me with the perfect mix of coursework and practical knowledge across various areas of interest to me such as agribusiness decisions, environmental sustainability, and the economic effectiveness of government policies as these have all affected my business endeavors and on a larger scale the outlook of my country Nigeria. Being a well ranked school nationally and globally providing student with excellent faculties, facilities and services such as the career services program for students which assists students with placements where learnt theoretical knowledge can be applied to real time situations. I'm very pleased to know that the institution has a tradition of fostering community participation and made up of a substantial demographic of students from around the world thereby giving me the opportunity to experience
