While going over in class about this I realized that ground water is something that is very necessary for the people in the countries of Maine to survive and if we didn't have it it would really suck for our crops our animals for us as well as many other things that depend on what we call water. Ground water comes from rain drops and snow that has infiltrated or soaked into the ground. The term or word that is used for the underground water supply is known as the meteoric water this is what contains 29 percent of all the fresh water on earth and its amazing that it is underground getting sucked up by our wells. As stated originally, our hypothesis for the laboratory experiment was that there is an inverse relationship between the percent abundance of tap water in a mixture and the size (diameter) (cm) of the bubbles produced from the respective mixture. However, our experimental process yielded just the opposite results- a direct relationship between the percent abundance of tap water in a mixture and the size (diameter) (cm) of the bubbles produced from the respective mixture- meaning that when there was a higher percent abundance of tap water in a mixture, bubbles larger in size (diameter) (cm) resulted. This means that we believe that Alyson, Sarah, and Teddy’s third mixture created the largest average bubble size (diameter) of 19.73 cm because…

An area of coastal wetland that is regularly flooded and drained by seawater is known as a salt marsh. Salt marshes are extremely important to many species as it serves as their habitat, and also saves them from potential predators as only certain species are able to live in the environment of a salt marsh. The salt marsh is mostly shallow and brackish, and consists of mostly saltwater. Salt marshes often develop amid marine and terrestrial environments, which results in biologically diverse communities adapted for harsh environmental settings including dryness, flooding, and extreme temperature fluctuations (Hill, "Salt Marsh Habitats"). High marsh takes place in areas above the mean high water mark and is not usually flooded by tides (Montague & Wiegert 1990).…
