Clay And Hannah Analysis

Decent Essays
To me the alternating narration between Clay and Hannah is an interesting way to tell her story because it gives you hannah's story along with Clays input on what happened and what he has heard. As for if this type of narration enhanced the the story I would have to say yes and no to that. It is a yes in the way that you get to see both side of the coin and by that I mean that you can see what was really happening to her and what Clay thought was going on. It is also a no because it can be somewhat hard to read because Hannah could be talking and then Clay gives his input and it can be somewhat hard to know who is talking if you are not paying attention. As for what I think everyone will take away from Hannah’s tapes are that some small that you do can affect someone in a big way. …show more content…
I also think that Clay is going to change drastically in the fact that he is not going to have the what if control him any more like it did with Hannah. As for Justine I think that he is not going to start any rumors about people because that was the thing that started this all off. For Alex and Jessica I think that they will start trusting in their friendships more than what they did before. Also I think that Tyler will start to be a bit more choosing on what he takes pictures on. But, For Ryan I don't think that he is going to change at all because all h did was take one of her poems. Lastly Mr. polter I think is going to be more indebted with someone that sounds think they are going to kill themselves and if they leave his office like she did to go after

The movie did leave a lot out from the book so it isn't as well detailed as it could've been. The movie changes the scenery from the beginning to being at a tattoo shop and Hannah’s age to make her older like 16-17 and shows a scene where she is driving to her home, in the book Hannah is 13 and the book says her mom picked her up from rosemary’s house. The book mentions Hannah having a little brother aaron, but in the movie he isn't mention nor does he read the questions at the dinner table or hide the bread like said in the book. When hannah opens the door to Elijah she doesn't see the fields or people working she goes straight into a hallway in Ruby’s house. In the book Ruby is mentioned to be Hannah’s best friend in the movie she is mentioned as not only her best friend but her cousin also.…

Henry Clay created Clay’s American System in the years following the War of 1812, a plan that called for protective taxes, a national bank and internal improvements. When Clay presented the Internal Improvements Bill, Madison struck down the idea of creating roads and canals, as reflected in Doc H. He argued that Congress was not explicitly given the constitutional right to do so because the power to regulate commerce within the states did not include the right to construct roads and canals, and ultimately did not sign onto the plan (Doc H), depicting his strict interpretation of the…

The Nullification Crisis Jackson and Clay’s different responses to the Nullification Crisis was another major difference between them. One of the protective tariffs that Clay argued for in his American System was the Tariff of Abominations which was designed to protect manufactures from foreign competition. This however created a decrease in cotton prices which hurt the south, particularly South Carolina. South Carolina responded by passing a doctrine known as nullification in which they argued “the Union…was a confederation that yielded some but not all power to the federal government. When Congress overstepped its powers, states had the right to nullify Congress’s acts” .…

Primary source readings 6.3 and 6.4 represent two very opposite perspectives on the American colony and its fight for Independence. In one the British fear and concern of the uprising is expressed and in the other is a unity song that the colonists used as motivation and hope. However in both readings a common theme of the colonists is expressed; the unity amongst the colonists. In the reading 6.3 by Thomas Hutchinson, he expresses the fear he experiences through watching the uprising of the American colonies.…

This story really did have two major events that could either be classified as the true turning point. The two are; When Phineas feel out of the tree, and when Gene visited Leper’s house. Depending on how you look at the story itself, you could argue for either side. It’s not fair to claim one and not even bother to evaluate both side by side. The outcome of doing so may even come up inconclusive.…

The quote ”A good nationalism has to depend on a principle of the common people, on the myths of a struggling commonality”express the fact that a nation is built on the coming together of common citizens as well as establishing a feeling of struggling. This feeling creates an environment where our society feels it must work hard to keep the nation together. Andrew O’Hagen has taken the reality of different nations in our world and has put them into one sentence. Andrew O'Hagen's view is one of that may be controversial due to the fact that it completely embraces the ideological factor of nationalism where a nation is defined under specific rules and not defined by the diversity of the citizens. A nation under his perspective may be considered more of an ethnic nation which is a nation where there is one common culture, race and religion compared to a civic nation where there a combination of cultures, races and religions.…
