During Act 3 Scene 2, Hamlet moves forward with his plan to make the King feel guilty by using the play to portray his father’s death. Hamlet used the play to re-open the wound that Claudius has from killing Hamlets father. As the play is going on, Claudius asked Hamlet, "Is there nothing offensive it?" Hamlet replies with, "No, no, they're only pretending; it's a make-believe poisoning. Nothing offensive at all (3.2.226-228)." In that discussion between Hamlet and Claudius, Hamlet was tricking Claudius by playing mind games on the King. As the play proceeds, we see Hamlets genius plan unfold. Finally the King had enough of Hamlets planned mind games. The King said, "Put on the lights. I must leave (3.2.260)!" At this point in the book we get
