We started with 5 questions about Claudette that would have adequate answers. The questions were; what are the differences between Claudette Colvin and Rosa Parks, why did Claudette Colvin stand up for what she believed in, did Claudette Colvin get recognized for what she did, what were they fighting for in the Browder vs Gayle case, and did anyone respect Claudette Colvin’s choice of standing up for herself. First, we started deciding who would be what characters. After that, we completed a rough draft, which gave us a base on what scenes we wanted in the play. Thirdly, we started editing the rough draft, so it would give more facts. Next, we made a final draft, which had everything completed. Lastly, we worked on the outfits and props that were going to be in the play.
Claudette Colvin took a stand not only for herself but for every African American that ever lived. She did this by showing that everyone is equal and fighting for something, even though she was in the colored race. Claudette stood up to the Jim Crow laws, and proved them unconstitutional.
