In 1901, my great-great-grandfather was born in Tunisia, North Africa. His name was Matteo Pecoraro, originally from Italy. His family were traveling from Italy to America at this time and officially arrived in Utah in 1903. Salt Lake City, Utah is where the Pecoraro family settled in. This is also where Matteo met the love of his life, Elizabeth Schmidt. They married in 1924, and had two children, one of which, continued my history. This was Margaret Pecoraro.

In 1890, Claude Clifford Pratt was born to Artemus Pratt and Virtue Cooper. He led a beautiful life and became a reverend for the Mormon church. He is still a well respected icon in Salt Lake City. He was drafted into World War II years later, and married Junia Gaskill. He had a son named Claude Clifford Pratt JR, who also went to the military.It was tradition to name your children after reverends in hopes they would continue the religious power. Claude Clifford Pratt JR married Matteo Pecoraro’s daughter, Margaret Pecoraro, and became a reverend at the church as well.
