Classroom Safety Scenario

I spoke with Liam's mom this afternoon and explained his situation to her. She will talk to Liam about the safety issues of leaving the classroom, the building and school grounds. Although she agreed that Liam may be leaving his classroom mainly to escape his academic work, she also believes that he may be frustrated with adjusting to constant changes in his support and making connections to different EAs. I told her that less support may be actually beneficial to Liam and can help him to increase his independence, especially as he is transitioning to middle school. However, Liam's constant escaping from classroom means serious safety concerns.
