It assists people from lower to upper middle class families, and I will attempt to solve Mrs. Winger’s and Mrs. Ramirez’s problems. My zeal for undertaking the Modular Master’s Degree program at Arcadia University is to develop my skills and expand my knowledge of educating children in preparation for a career as an educator. My interest in teaching began four years ago after completing my undergraduate degree in Public Health and has since developed after my first motherhood experience. My commitment to pursuing a career as an educator was established during my maternity leave, where I had time to reflect on going back to school. I was mostly inspired by my family’s ardor for education and by the encouragement of the executive director at my job who wishes to mentor me into the leadership world of Early Childhood…

I believe my participation grade should be an A, or somewhere in the 90’s range. When I filled out the rubric for myself I circled the exemplary box for five out of six of the categories. I circled the exemplary box for these categories because I strongly feel that I am a respectful and engaged student much more often than not. As you may know I’m a quiet person, I like to listen a lot more than what I like to talk. My Personal Experiences I began my reflections by asking myself what is a ‘realistic’ image of a child and who is a child? I found my thoughts to be influenced by Veronica Pacini-Ketchabaw (Personal communication, SCYC, 2016), who proposed many interesting ideas and point of views about young children and early childhood education.
