1. During group time, T along with the rest of his group were given the instructions by the gym teacher. She said, “I want you to see how many pull ups you can do. Don’t stop when you begin feeling pain, try and see if you can hold it a little longer.” T was the first person in his group to go. Before T went up to the bar, he turned his head half way to the side, just for his friend to see his face. He smirked and then quickly turned his head around and leaped toward the bar. The teacher asked T, “Please stand on the chair and grab the bar.” T listed immediately. He put one foot on the chair and then the other. He grabbed the bar so tightly you could see the whites of his knuckles. He pulled himself up, rested his chin on the bar, and lifted …show more content…
The gym teacher explained to each of the students that the next fitness test was going to be timed. She instructed them by saying, “I want you to hold your chin above the bar for as long as you can.” There was one student in front of T. While waiting in line, T raised his hand, while jumping around in place. When the teacher called on him T said, “What number should we be able to get?” The teacher said, “For boys the average number is around 15 seconds.” T looked at her and smiled real big and said, “I got this.” When it was his turn, T leaped up onto the chair with both feet. He grabbed the bar quickly. He squeezed the bar so tight you could see the whites of his knuckles. The teacher said, “ready, go.” T picked up his feet off the chair and rested his chin on the bar. T continued to squeeze the bar. He begin to sweat. You could see the whites of his eyes because they were open so wide. His lips were pressed together and he was breathing heavy. He continued to hold the bar until his chin slipped. His arms extended all the way down and the teacher said, “Great job T, you got 21 seconds.” T jumped up and down. He was barely able to speak as he took in all the air in that he could and let it all back out slowly. He leaned over and help his hands on his hips and before he took his next breath he said, “I knew I could do
