While at the playground, D was accompanied by two fellow classmates. While at the playground, D’s aggressive behavior seemed to have subsided. He was interacting with fellow classmates very well. He appeared to be happy and excited about being in the playground with his fellow classmates. As the observation continued, D’s behavior drastically changed. At one point, D approached another male classmate from the back and began hitting him with closed fists on his head and back. This led to a fight between the two boys. D’s mother ran and pulled D off the other child, where she began screaming and cursing at D for his behavior. D was sniffling as his mother carried on, but did not look at her as she was speaking. D’s mother threatened to take him home. She stated, “If you keep this up, we’re going upstairs.” D exclaimed that he did not want to go home. His mother replied that D had better correct his behavior as D walked away. When D returned to his classmates, he was received as though a fight had not occurred a few minutes prior. D played with his peers and was even given a role in the game that they were playing. There were a few more instances where D became frustrated with his classmates. However, he was able to move past his frustrations and continued interacting with his classmates and other children on the playground.
