During my time at Brooks Elementary School, I was able to observe seven different teachers. However, I spent three of my ten days with a wonderful Kindergarten teacher. This was her first year in Kindergarten, and she was filling in for a teacher on leave. While in her classroom I was able to observe many different activities. She would begin the day with a letter to her class explaining what they would be doing that day. The class would review words, parts of a sentence, and was able to be prepared for the day ahead of them. The students in her class really enjoyed this and I felt that it really started the day in the right direction.
