Classroom Management Transition Report

Classroom management is always been a challenge for novice and veteran teachers. They have to ensure that the classroom lessons run smoothly despite disruptive behavior by students in a conducive learning environment. Many teachers find the transitioning of students from one activity to another to be the most difficult classroom management challenges (Jones & jones, 2016a). I am one of the teachers that finds the transitioning of students from one activity to another to be the most difficult classroom management challenge. I have been teaching more than twenty years and still encounter behavioral issues when I transition from one activity to another in my classroom. For instance, when students work in groups sometimes they do not take the assignment …show more content…
Even though I got good results from the report, I feel that I still need to improve in the same areas to become a better teacher.
Studying the Classroom Management Simulation, I determined that all the choices provided as answers in the three scenarios can be correct depending how the teacher would be able to apply the transition. I believe the three options in each scenario have pros and cons because each scenario will be handle different by teachers. I agree with the results from the Classroom Management Simulation in situation number one. For instance, in scenario number one data is collected and emphasized that transition time takes fifteen percent of the total classroom time. For this reason, I chose that I was aware about a number of methods I can use to improve the quality of transition and commit to implement a number of these in the next few days to evaluate how they affect transition times. I chose this option because I was going to try different methods to improve the quality of transition with my students and evaluate them to find out the results and modify them in the future. The pros of implementing this method is that I would be able to find out if it worked
