Describe how you manage student behaviors. Good classroom management starts on the first day of school. It does not work if you start out by being the “nice and fun” teacher. It is essential that my students know on the first day of school that I will not tolerate disrespect and chaos. On the first day of school I went over my class rules with the students and pointed out where the class rules are posted if students ever need reference.…

My goal is to create a plan to teach and organize a classroom equipped to create a fun, safe, and motivational learning environment for pre-k students. My first thought is how one grasps the minds of this young age group of students through classroom management. The room has to be age appropriate, very attractive and inviting to the students. “Classroom management is a set of procedures and systems that are put in place to create an environment that focuses on students learning”. In order for classroom management to work, educators need to know the reasoning for classroom management.…

My Classroom Management Philosophy I believe that classroom management plays a major role in creating a successful classroom. A successful classroom must be a safe learning environment, offer positive encouragement to encourage students to make the right choices, set rules that are understood by the students, and creating responsible students who can take control over their own work. This type of classroom is a major goal of mine because I feel as though the students would really benefit. I am committed to creating a safe environment and creating positive reinforcement within my classroom.…

In addition, I plan to always give my students a “heads up” about what is going on. If the schedules, routines, and transitions are planned beforehand and students know what to expect, I will be setting myself up for a classroom with much greater success. Lastly, I was again reminded of the importance of relationships. In my own classroom someday, I will strive to develop connections with each and every one of my students. If this is done, managing my classroom will come much more easily.…

The first step in classroom behavioral and management starts from day one. Classroom management is the process by which schools and teachers create and maintain appropriate behavior of students in the classroom environment. The teacher is responsible for all the students that are on the class roaster assigned to them first, and the other students in the school there after. To have an effective, successful classroom the teacher must be prepared to teach and keep the students engaged. Upon receiving the students the teacher must outline the expectations, class rules and get to know the students name on the first day.…

I want to first talk about what a classroom management plan is. According to our text classroom management is the set of procedures and systems that are put in place to create an environment that focuses on student learning. Simply put, classroom management involves teacher decisions and actions intended to create an environment conducive to learning (Newman 2013, pg. 4.1). When I first think of classroom management I image how a child would interact with the classroom and also how they will be able to interact with me and other students. If the student is not able to use the space to benefit there learning process than the space is…
