To begin, the article titled, “The Contribution of School-Family Cooperation on Effective Classroom Management in Early Childhood Education” from Education Sciences: Theory and Practice by Ahmet Cezmi SAVAS, includes information about parent-teacher relationship and how it relates to classroom management. Key words noted in this article are school-family cooperation, classroom management, and early childhood education. School-family cooperation is a key role in the success of the student. “Classroom management is one of the most important factors in providing education to students” (Evertson & Weinstein, 2006; Wang, Haertel, & Walberg, 1993). One recommendation that the authors included was, “The teachers should visit the homes of their students more frequently for creating more sincere and constructive climate and increasing cooperation with the parents” ( SAVAS par. 42). I personally do not agree with this recommendation because I do not think that teachers should frequently visit their students houses. I do think it is a must to build a sincere and constructive cooperation however visiting homes is not the way to do it. One recommendation that I do agree with is “ The parents should be informed through the seminars about the importance of cooperation with teachers for the development of their children” (SAVAS par. 42). I think that if parents know how important cooperating with teachers is to their child’s learning, more parents will cooperate with teachers. I wasn’t really able to connect any of my experiences of information presented in the article. However, one thing I could take from this article for my future job is to remember how important is it to get along with parents in order to have good classroom …show more content…
According to tk20.com standard five includes quality indicator one, classroom management, motivation, and engagement. Quality indicator 2, managing time, space, transitions, and activities. Quality indicator 3, classroom school and community culture. In my opinion this article fits into quality indicator one and quality indicator three. This article is about classroom management. Also, I feel it is a little bit about community culture because of the cooperation between parents and teachers. In conclusion, I think a lot can be taken away from this article. The experiment itself and its findings is what really should be taken away from this article. The reference at the end that I would like to review would be Hembree, R. (1998). Correlates, causes, effects, and treatment of test anxiety. Review of education Research, 58, 47-77. I would like to review this reference because test anxiety I feel effects a lot of students. I personally don’t have test anxiety, however I would like to know causes, affects, and treatments to help my future
