A. Summary of Action Plan
Our school organization has implemented teaching essential vocabulary in every classroom by every content area instructor or teacher. This action plan was developed based off of student data related to vocabulary and comprehension of benchmark assessment basic vocabulary words. Our organization has found evidence suggesting that our students can answer benchmark assessment type questions if they are able to understand what the vocabulary is saying in the benchmark questions. Our organization has implemented the action plan to teach essential vocabulary to all students in every class taught by every instructor and by every content area teachers. To help us make school improvement they allotted our school a substantial amount of extra money to help implement action plans and accomplish action plans to improve the overall outcome of the school. Our school responded by researching other schools under improvement and what programs they purchased to help improve their school and carry out or accomplish their action plans. Our institution was directed by the state to use the money to purchase programs that were evidence based that were proven to provide results with whatever action plan necessary. After several months of research, our organization purchased several different resources for all of the educators to use to better help them implement the essential vocabulary action plan. Our school also purchased a program called WIDA that was developed and designed to help teachers and students better learn and implement and or apply essential vocabulary. The WIDA program is also designed to help all of the ELL students increase their overall success. The effectiveness of meeting the financial regulation by the state has proven to increase our overall implementation and effectiveness of the utilization of essential vocabulary in the class and on benchmark assessments. It has been effective for not only the students and ELL students but also for our educators here at our
