The cultural group that I choose was that of the Jewish people. There are four classifications of Jews which are Hasidic, Orthodox, Conservative, and Reform (2002). In the nursing career field a nurse must remember a few things about interactions with this group, and know that each classification operates differently. Also, when it comes to doctor appointments and surgeries a health care team may want to accommodate this specific patient by scheduling their appointments around the Jewish Sabbath (Saturday) and their holidays (Passover, Rosh Hashana, Sofar, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Chanuka) (2002).
