They literately make a person say, “What are those?” These are the most horrendous and unpopular shoes on the market. These are shoes such as Kmart Traxx and Dollar Store specials. When I see someone with Buddies on, I shake my head and wonder, “Why?” This is because I really don’t know why someone would wear something so horrible in public. I do, however, realize these may be the only shoes the person can afford. Buddies are the off- brand shoes with huge unnecessary logos, unsymmetrical lines, thick soles and odd colors. People who own Buddies keep these shoes absolutely filthy and they have quite the foot odor. They don’t bother to knock off the mud from being outside or even throw them in the washer for a good cleaning. These shoes are kept in a state of breakdown, and this makes me look at the individual and question whether they have respect for themselves or their belongings. Last week, as I walked down the hallways of Lehman High School, I must have seen the ugliest pair of K-Swiss shoes. It looked as if the shoes had been dipped in chocolate mud as the individual left shoe stains down the hall. To make it worse, the shoes smelled as if a stink bomb had been set off.
