The first method is classical conditioning, which is a type of learning where you can teach a child to link two or more stimuli and be able to anticipate in advance an event. An example of this method would be conditioning a child by implementing that once they come home from school, they must read a book before they can go and do other activities such as play with toys or watch TV.
