One experiment I could conduct to test the effects of classical conditioning is giving Liam Dolehide a piece of gum every time I see him in Mr. Allen’s seminar. Almost everyday we have seminar, Liam will head to Mr. Allen’s room. I also occasionally show up there and typically see Liam. To begin this experiment, I will have to walk through the door and make an obnoxious noise. This noise will notify him that I’m in the room. Then I will walk up to him and hand him a piece of mint gum. I will never tell Liam about my plan or why I’ve decided to give him a piece of gum. If he ever does feel the need to ask, I will just tell him that I’m trying to be nice. The unconditioned stimulus in this experiment is the piece of mint gum. The unconditioned
