Marx states that not just does the worker become alienated, but their self worth becomes degraded. “On the basis of political economy itself, in its own words, we have shown that the worker sinks to the level of a commodity and becomes indeed the most wretched of commodities; that the wretchedness of the worker is in inverse proportion to the power and magnitude of his production” (Marx, 1). Additionally, Marx states that the political economy favors capitalism over labor and the workers. He states that the direction the political economy has taken has been of greed (Marx, 1).
He also states how the political economy has ignored the estrangement in labor and the effects it has (Marx, 3).
He adds that workers do not simply get alienated by labor, but that they receive the least benefits in producing products. He states that for the capitalists it produces palaces, yet for the worker they obtain just hovels, workers produce beauty, yet they get deformed by doing so

The worker in our current economy is not indispensable; they can be without a serious thought laid-off or fired from a company without any reason why in most states in the United

(Marx, 7). Marx states that man is coerced into labor, later in his discourse he adds that his labor activities are done in a service under the power and force of another man (Marx, 7). Other than the political economy being blamed for creating this situation between the laborer and the capitalist, Marx states that private property is also to blame. He states this, since he believes private property is responsible for the condition of the workers for becoming estranged and alienated. “Private property is thus the product, the result, the necessary consequence,
