They have a different lifestyle which affects the major events in the Hunger Games. Besides being well fed and being more babied by the government, they go through training for the games. The reaping is very different for the closer districts because it doesn’t scare them. They want to be picked for the games, it is like being picked for the Olympics because you are chosen to represent your country or in this situation, your district. Another major event that causes this class to be different is the start of the games and the usual strategy, which is killing everyone. At the start of the game there is the cornucopia with the best supplies, and there are other supplies surrounding the ornucopia. The closer districts go for the cornucopia because they are stronger, faster, and have more allies than everyone else. When they get their resources, they rely on brute strength to kill everyone which is different from the farther districts’ strategy. These districts usually win which also wins the Capitl’s favor so they get privileges. However, all the districts, even the farthest district, are controlled by the Capitol. They are different from the citizens because they don’t have to risk their lives in any way possible. They live a perfect life with no worry about fighting or death. Their children don’t grow up in squalor, they don’t go hungry, and they don’t have to worry about anybody taking their family away from them. The reaping is irrelevant to them other than the fact they enjoy watching the drama. The annual hunger games is like a yearly movie that comes out. It’s dramatic and entertaining to watch people fight to the death. It’s not evil to watch that because these people in the Capitol don’t understand the gravity of the situation. The only purpose of the people in the Capitol is to be the audience in major events such as the interviews, the reaping, and the games itself. They are the luckiest out of all Panem and are the most different out of all the classes. The other classes are the groups of people in specific districts but they are way lower than the citizens of the Capitol in this society.
