Reflection on my class devotion:
Regarding the reflections from colleagues, on “Becca and Carmanie’s”, devotion, it is very encouraging to hear good comments, though seriously, I believe I did not do a good job with it.
While Becca and were deciding which scripture text to choose for the class devotion, it was very challenging for us to choose a text that made connection to my story and the hospital visit as a group. I literally told Becca that “we should make a theological intersection and not a tangent !” We prayed and asked God to guide us, to help us see and build the connection. Surprisingly, the night before the devotion, I looked through many commentaries and found affirmation of the connectivity of ideas. The NIB commentary had
