Clark, a point guard from Newport Harbor High is having his first experiences in college basketball. Clark got lucky enough to get a free ride to UCLA along with one of his best friends James, who was a center.
Being a new college student all the work hit him fast and instantly he saw that he was going to have to work extremely hard to keep up his grades. James on the other hand was an excellent student he always had A,s. Clark was 6,3 and had very dark brown hair he was one of the most popular kids in school. In comparison to James, who was 6.10 and had blond hair he was always messed with in school so he didn't like it very much he used basketball as an escape and that is where he met Clark and they became great friends. …show more content…
On the day of their first game they were pumped and were ready to put Duke University where they belonged. But it didn't go there way it was a good fight until the fourth and then UCLA gave up and they lost by 15. After the first game they were all very upset and angry, especially Clark because he had had the best game he had ever had with 25 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists. There couch name was Ben and he was not made about losing their’’ first game. But he did say that “the team will learn to play together but for now practice and have fun”. The next day they all were in the dorms and and they were all talking about how bad the referees and plays were from the game befor. There was a team meeting the next morning. At the meeting every player was very quiet, no one wanted to talk about the game because they were afraid of disappointment. At the next game Ben there couach had few words for the team but one thing he said was to play the game and don't worry about the outcome. During the game Clark threw an alley oop to James who threw it down. After that play the we're all happy and ready to get there first win. “After that performance what can we expect from UCLA in the future!” said the announcer.
