Throughout the song it is very hard to find a set rhythm. The notes are very scattered and it lacks that consistent beat. The beginning of the song has a very quiet and slow feel to it making you feel the emotion between those notes.

The chords would have far leaps and was very relaxed. In this second section, B, we are thrown a lot of moments of conjunction within the chords. The bass line of the piano played with the left hand contains the majority of those conjunct chords. While the right hand plays more disjunct chords at the same time. This creates a more complex part in the song and builds up more emotion from it.

At this point in the song the second section begins to calm down from its intense middle. We begin to hear a repetition of the first part with a slight difference. The repetition gives the feel that this is the last part of the song. Here signifies the third section which is alike the first therefore making it “A.” With the ABA format we realize this piece is in ternary form
