When CJ Walker was 5 her mom died. CJ Walker's dad died shortly after she had no parents CJ Walker's sister is the only one that CJ Walker could rely on.
At the age of 14 CJ Walker was married to Moses McWilliams. Soon after the marriage Moses and CJ Walker had a baby(Lelia). Sadly Moses died Shortly after his death she married another man Charles.Madam Walker died from complications of hypertension. She was 51 and the wealthiest African-American woman in America. Madam CJ Walker was more than a beauty consultant. She was a philanthropist CJ Walker an activist as well.
