Being an entrepreneur, you're looking to start a business that capitalizes on Ford's success. Which business will you launch? Why?
I would chose to start a road construction company. The reason I chose this was because that all cars need roads to drive. If they do not have roads they will not be as effective and will break down more. Also I would make hundreds of millions of dollars making highways all across the country. I would continue to get money because I would have to repair those roads. I didn’t choose the other options because they wouldn't have made as much money. The suburban home building company was my second choice. The reason why I didn’t choose it is because more people have cars that drive on roads than suburban homes. A factory that makes tires, windshields, and other replacement parts would not be profitable because you wouldn't have the patents to make the parts. A chain of car repair shops would not be profitable because they have a lot of competition doing the exact same thing. A bank that specializes in consumer car loans is too risky. A chain of roadside motels would fail because they are not popular and don’t see a lot of

Built Ford Tough. When one thinks of a company that manufactures pickup trucks, one would envision a company that builds the toughest, meanest, longest lasting truck ever- huge four wheel drive off road machines, with poor gas mileage-a tool to get the job done. This is definitely what I envisioned. Similarly, one could assume the target audience for a pick-up would be brawny, blue-collared construction workers or farmers who tow huge loads on dirt roads with ruts galore. They require a machine-better yet-a tool for work, something that is tough, manly, and no-nonsense.…

The Negative Impact of the Internet on Intelligence During the First World War, the Chicago tribune wrote an article about the world famous industrialist Henry Ford. In the article, Ford was referred to as ignorant amongst other scathing remarks attacking his intelligence. Ford, obviously, didn’t take kindly to this and filed a lawsuit against the paper for libel. The lawyers for the Tribune were so confident, that they put Mr. Ford on the witness stand, and asked him a long series of questions in an effort to show his lack of intelligence. Eventually Mr. Ford became irritated and lashed out with words that have gone on to live in infamy.…

National Junior Honor Society is a great opportunity for me, and is an organization that I really hope to be in. I love doing service not because I am forced to, but I get to be with my friends and is also a way for me to give back to the community. I love helping the needy and have participated in countless activities. For example, I was a part of a group that put together care kits for the homeless, picked up trash at a park, and created blankets for the needy. Being in NJHS will give me a chance to find even more ways to do more service and become a leader.…

However the differences with the other company’s vs Ford are that they seem to be more diversified than Ford. Ford has truly focused on aligning all of the structures to all function the same no matter what location with very little diversification to include a right sizing effort to reduce the platforms and slim down. The other companies have not focused on this type of right sizing and because of this I truly believe that Ford is most likely to be more successful in the long term. They are staying the course and making sure that they can function on their own with no assistance and taking small steps to…
