You can be and have all the things in the world, but none of that will ever matter because how you treat others, shows your real colors. Integrity is everything and it will help you get through life. No one is in control of your life, but you. This means that you are the only one that gets to decide if integrity and civility exists. Integrity means that you always tell the truth, no matter how ugly it is. When you are not putting the definition of integrity in use, you are fooling others, which will probably end back to fooling yourself. Civility was supposed to be taught to you by whom ever raised you. Civility is being polite to others. In other words, having manners and respect. Whether you believe it or not, these two traits do play an important role society today. The places where integrity and civility are most important are in a household, a workplace, and out on the street in general. Even though these are three different locations, integrity and civility play the same exact role. They all have to do with the way you treat others, whether you are being honest or simply polite. Integrity and civility both explain the type of person you are, and that will always be the role that it plays in today’s society. The role depends on you. To be specific, there is a car accident with you and a random person. You caused that accident. You should defend yourself against the other person, but with the truth, as well as with respect. There has been many situations where people take advantage of others. One time my dad got into a car accident with a lady and it was his fault, so he had to pay the damages of the other car. But, the lady blamed all the damages that she had on her car before the accident on my dad. The lady lacked both integrity and civility by making my dad pay for all her damages that he did not
