What does freedom mean to me? That’s a good question. When I envision freedom, I think of how I can wake up every day feeling safe. I think of how soldiers willingly risk their lives for the freedom of this country. I also appreciate all of the great things that I can do because I am a free person. Most United States citizens do not realize how lucky they are to be free. First, freedom means waking up every day feeling safe. In some countries, citizens are not able to feel safe and secure in their own homes. Take Syria, for example, because of their terrible civil war, many Syrians have been forced to leave their homes. Therefore every day they wake up wondering if they will live through the day. I am grateful to be safe and content every
