A black van came speeding from around the corner, groups of men in black army wear came running out with guns to their hips. My first instinct was to run. At this point, it was every man for themselves. The heavy black construction boots I had put on made it harder to run the way it was weighing my ankles down. There was no stopping now. As the van and the army looking soldiers got closer and closer, we ran faster and faster. Ava and I trying our hardest not to get caught like the others. Now it’s just the of us against ten of them. We broke bread together and plan on surviving this cold world together. Right now we put ourselves in a deep situation.
"Kass I can't do this anymore! They are going to catch up to us! It’s over,"Ava panted while slowing down to catch her breathe. She looked as if she wanted to cry.
