The section that I chose was “Civil War Journal”. In this excerpt, Louisa Alcott, was wanting to join the civil war. She was willing to pretend to be a man, just so she could fight. The only thing Louisa wanted was to contribute to the Civil War. When she was thirty years old, she decided to help with the war by becoming a nurse. However, her job and war was not what she expected or wanted.
