The citizens of Syria are done with their interminable wait for the Syrian government to start thinking about the people and they have acted. The chaos of the Civil war allowed the Islamic State of Iraq To rise and conquer parts of Syria. The Civil war in Syria started five long years ago and shows no sign of stopping soon. That is why it is time for the United Nations to act, because of the horror of all the destruction and loss. It is clear that the United Nations should attempt to resolve this as peacefully and quickly as possible. The government started the war and they should finish it. In the Syrian city, Daraa, in march of 2011, fifteen teenagers were imprisoned by the Syrian government for vandalism. These teenagers wrote anti-government grafitti on a wall. Citizens of Deraa protested this and other issues , such as greater freedom for citizens of Syrian Democracy, peacefully. The government responded with violence. On March 18th, 2011, the government fired at the protesters. Four citizens were killed. At the victims funerals, they fired on a peaceful gathering yet again. Another citizen of Deraa was murdered. In addition starting the Civil war, the government violated several human rights. They violated the right of people to express their opinions freely. People have the right not be tortured or subjected to cruel or sadistic treatment. Those fifteen teens that had been imprisoned by the government were tortured. Because of the government's crimes, the current government should be given three years to transit their government to democratic one. If the government is not completed in three years , sanctions will be placed upon the government until the news government is fully established, with the exception of fossil fuels. If the United does not deal with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria swiftly and efficiently, the result may be another world war. The United Nations cannot deal with this threat to international security peacefully because while their end goal to create their own state is admirable, their means to accomplish it are not. The recent attack on Paris is just one of their crimes. The ends do not justify the means, no matter what one believes. In addition, they took advantage of a country's crisis to pursue their goals. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria is an extremist and radical militant group. They have violated many basic human rights and employed terrorist tactics. Because of the vast list of crimes that The Islamic State and Syria has committed, the only course of action possible is to take military action against them and remove them before they destroy more lives. The United Nations should give authorization to member states to take military action against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria immediately. The troops sent will be joined together to defeat the Islamic State and Syria. The will have the authorization to use any legal methods of removing this threat to international peace and
